Growing on Instagram is fast becoming a sensitive topic, right?

There are SO many changes constantly, how the heck do you keep up with them all? 

Here are my top 4 ways to grow on Instagram in 2023 – taking it back to the basics…

Here’s how:

Optimise your bio for success – Ensure that your bio is optimised, this includes having a clear title with what you do, and not your name. You can feature keywords in your bio that will be searchable. You NEED to have a sentence about what you do and what you are offering! This is so important for allowing your ideal client to resonate with you. Make sure you have a call-to-action and a location too!

Connect with people – It is time to build genuine connections. Let me tell you an industry secret. Follow 50 accounts when you first start up your account (you can do this at any time) and spend every day interacting with these accounts. If you find 50 to be unmanageable, start with 20 and work your way up. Work on creating genuine relationships with these people and accounts and you will see your account grow.

Know your target audience – When you are starting a new account, don’t try and aim towards everyone, identify your target market prior to even creating your account. You should already know everything about them AND you should already have a content strategy that is relative to how you will actually reach these people. 

Be consistent – Set yourself a target of when you are going to post and try to stick to it. There is nothing worse than starting a new account and then not posting on it for 2 weeks because you are not growing. Post consistently and focus on posting quality content. Even with my established account, I notice that if I am not consistent, my follower count and engagement goes down until I am consistent again!
